"A History of Chinese Art year by year from 1900 to 2010," edited by myself, was published in 2012. The comprehensive volume comprises approximately 1.8 million words and includes 2,100 images. Organized into units of ten years, the chronicle adopts a year-by-year approach. We have endeavored to place significant artistic events, figures, and works for each year within the context of societal changes encompassing politics, economics, literature, and other fields.
Our objective is to enable readers to independently utilize the information in the book, allowing them to comprehend and understand the artistic transformations since 1900 based on their own interpretations. Therefore, this work serves as a utilitarian art historical document, providing different readers with varied insights and functionalities for their specific purposes.
