ACADEMIC COMMITTEE DIRECTOR
FAN DI’AN
Fan Di’an is the current chairman of China Artists Association, the director of Curatorial Committee of China Artists Association, the vice-chairman of Beijing Federation of Literary and Art Circles, the chairman of Beijing Artists Association, and member at China Central Institute for Culture and History. He used to be the president of the Central Academy of Fine Arts and the curator of the National Art Museum of China. Fan has long been engaged in research on Chinese art in the 20th century, contemporary art criticism, exhibition planning, and museum studies. He has published millions of words on art research and criticism and curated over one hundred academic exhibitions that relate to contemporary China’s development achievements in fine arts such as “How Is China? – Chinese Contemporary Art Exhibition”, “Deutschland 8”, “Super Fusion – 2021 Chengdu Biennale”, and “Communication Through Art – Wuhan Biennale 2022”. In addition to his curatorial work, Fan has organized various academic seminars and numerous international artistic exchange activities. Through these efforts, he established cooperative relationships with internationally renowned museums and fine arts academies to promote exchanges between different countries and enhance China’s international influence in fine arts.
CHIEF CURATOR
WANG SHAOQIANG
Wang Shaoqiang is currently the director of Guangdong Museum of Art, a national level-2 researcher, a professor, a doctoral supervisor, and an expert with State Council Special Allowance. He is also a curator, art educator and artist. He serves as a member of China Artists Association, the vice-chairman of Guangdong Artists Association, the president of Guangdong Art Museums Association and a member of the Teaching Steering Committee of Higher Education, Ministry of Education. He has been selected for projects such as “Guangdong Provincial Talent Support Program” and “The New Century Tens, Hundreds, Thousands Talent Project” in Guangdong Province. He has been listed twice on “Chinese Art Power List” and was named one of the Influential Figures by National Arts Magazine. Wang was also awarded with Artist Award at the 22nd Napoli Cultural Classics.He has been engaged in the research of modern art and contemporary art for a long time. He once planned large-scale exhibitions such as 2017 Guangdong Art Centennial Exhibition, Guangzhou Image Triennial 2017 and Guangzhou Image Triennial 2021, and served as the director and curator of the 6th Guangzhou Triennial, the chief curator of the 7th Guangzhou Triennial and other large-scale exhibitions with international influence.

LYU PENG
Lü Peng is an art historian, critic, art curator, distinguished postgraduate tutor and professor at Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, and a distinguished professor at Macau University of Science and Technology. He has served as the deputy secretary- general of Sichuan Theatre Association, the chief executive editor of Art Market magazine, the art host of Guangzhou Biennale, an associate professor of the School of Art and Humanities at China Academy of Art, the curator of Chengdu MOCA, the artistic director of Museum of Contemporary Art of Yinchuan, the president of L·Art University, and the Academic Committee director of “Super Fusion – 2021 Chengdu Biennale”.
CURATORS OF THEMATIC SECTIONS
PHILIP DODD
Philip Dodd is a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, the UK, and he served as the director of the Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA) in London. He has won multiple awards for his outstanding contributions to communication between Europe and China in the field of art. Dodd has curated numerous exhibitions in cities such as London, Beijing, Guangzhou, Moscow, Singapore City, and New York, featuring important artists such as Yoko Ono and Hsiao Chin.
PHILIPP ZIEGLER
Philipp Ziegler is an art historian and curator. He currently serves as the head of the Curatorial Department at Zentrum für Kunst und Medientechnologie (ZKM) Karlsruhe, Germany. He has curated and co-curated numerous exhibitions in many countries and regions and published articles and papers on modern art in various magazines. One of his significant works is Stephen Willats: Art, Society, Feedback (co-edited).
ZHANG ZIKANG
Zhang Zikang is the director of CAFA Art Museum, and a professor and doctoral supervisor of the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA). He is also the editor-in-chief of Art Museum magazine, the vice-president of CAFA Institute of Sci-Tech Arts, the director of China Artists Association, and the deputy director of the Experimental Art Committee of China Artists Association.
JI SHAOFENG
Ji Shaofeng is the director of Hubei Museum of Art, a level-2 national professor of liberal arts, and an expert with State Council Special Allowance. He also serves as a member of the Curatorial Committee of China Artists Association, the vice-secretary general of China Sculpture Institute, the deputy director of Contemporary Art Professional Committee of China National Society for the Promotion of Arts and Culture (CNSPAC) , and the rotating president of the 14th China Annual Art Critics Assembly. Ji has received many awards, such as the Award for Outstanding Contribution to Curation and Organization and the Best Curation Award at the 55th Venice Biennale.
WU HONGLIANG
Wu Hongliang is currently a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, the president of Beijing Fine Art Academy, the deputy director and secretary-general of the Curatorial Committee of China Artists Association, the vice-director of the Professional Art Museums Committee under Chinese Museums Association, and the vice-chairman of Beijing Artists Association. He has served as curator for the Chinese Pavilion at 2019 Venice Biennale and as director of the Planning Committee for Public Art Global Solicitation Project for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics and Paralympics.
YU KE
Yu Ke is a professor at Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, the executive curator of Yuelai Art Museum, and a member of the Curatorial Committee of China Artists Association.
XIANG LIPING
Xiang Liping is a Ph.D. in Art and currently serves as the director of the Exhibition Department (Collection) at the Power Station of Art, Shanghai. She has previously directed the Shanghai Biennale and participated in the planning, opening, and construction of the Power Station of Art. Additionally, she has curated exhibitions such as the 2016 Singapore Biennale and published various academic papers and art books.
JIANG JUN
Jiang Jun is a postdoctoral fellow at the College of Architecture and Urban Planning of Tongji University. He is also an independent curator and art critic. He graduated from the University of Fine Arts Münster in Germany and later obtained a Ph.D. in Art Studies from China Academy of Art. His research interests include public art and interdisciplinary integration between contemporary art and urban governance. Additionally, he served as one of the curators for the 7th Guangzhou Triennial.
